To get to the South Houses, you can consult the Caltech Campus Map. Once in the vicinity, you need to get into the SAC. If you are an undergraduate student, you can simply cardswipe into any of the doors that lead into the South Houses and then find a staircase down. If you do not have the South Houses on card access, then the easiest way to get in is to walk down the Olive Walk to the Ricketts Fleming Courtyard. It is the grassy area across from the student mailboxes. Facing the South Houses, there will typically be an open door on the right hand side that leads to the South Kitchens. Enter the first door on the right, but instead of going into the kitchen, immediately turn left and go down the staircase. From there the map should be off assistance to finding the practice room.

The room is officially called the "Student Workshop" or maybe also the "Freshman Physics LAb". During 2006-2008 it was used by freshman in practical physics for their take home EM labs. Since the separation of the lab part of the course from the theoretical instruction, it remains to be seen if the room will still be as heavily used by freshman during the second and third quarters of the year. The room was chosen because it is on the South Master key, so our equipment is relatively secure. Other rooms in the SAC do not offer the storage or the room for us to spread out our equipment. The SPECTRE library folks kicked Quizbowl out so that they can fill their 3 rooms full of books and boxes of books, even though they had the nice sofas.
